Cindy does enjoy a good cup of coffee!
CYNTHIA HAYNES DISAVINO was born in Cincinnati and is a graduate of Ohio State University with a BFA in Acting. Since then, Cindy has had a 40 year career in show business. Her early years included acting work in film, commercial and some stage work in New York City, but many of her credits came from regional and dinner theatres around the country.
In 1979, she met her husband-to-be David DiSavino while both were acting in a dinner theatre comedy in New Jersey. They married in 1984.
1984 was also the year they started producing dinner theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 1995, they opened Rainbow's Comedy Playhouse, a modern and streamlined dinner theatre facility in Paradise (Lancaster County), Pennsylvania.
Cindy’s playwriting career started when Rainbow - the only all-comedy dinner theatre in the U.S. - had a need for non-musical comedy Christmas plays. She began to work with authors on original holiday material, and eventually started writing her own. She is the sole author of two shows for the holidays, Deck The Halls And Clean The Kitchen, and A Christmas To Remember. Additionally, she authored the very successful Is There Life After Fifty?, currently licensed to Miracle or 2 Productions, in NYC. All of her plays were first produced at Rainbow's Comedy Playhouse, and many have seen productions at theatres across the United States. Her latest offerings are: Death At The Garage Sale, or Downsizing is Murder (2018), and InLaws, OutLaws and Other Family Matters (2019).
