Cynthia Haynes DiSavino

I spent 34 years as Artistic Director at Rainbow, the theatre created by my husband and myself. As the only all-comedy dinner theatre in the country, I have read, cast, performed in and directed comedy all those years. I know about funny.

My plays are aimed squarely at the mainstream audience: you won’t find controversial topics or anything that makes you feel bad about yourself. What you will find are plays with lots of laughs that touch on common experiences, that gets the laughter of recognition from our common humanity.

Each of my plays premiered at Rainbow, and was worked and revised and rewritten all during its run, and I have had productions all over the country, at theatres large and small.

This website is something new, and I hope it will help introduce my work to a larger audience… maybe your audience. Because we all need a good laugh.
